Abstract

The present Regulation lays down provisions relating to commercial aquaculture. Section 1 establishes that the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food shall issue a licence to operate a fish-breeding plant, a licence to cultivate aquatic plants on a commercial basis or a licence to operate a fishing pond to a person or partnership who applies in writing in a document containing the information listed in this section. The text consists of 18 sections divided into 8 Parts as follows: Issue of licences (1); Norms relating to a land-based fish-breeding plant (2); Norms relating to an aquatic fish-breeding plant (3); Norms relating to commercial cultivation of aquatic plants (4); Standards relating to a fishing pond operated for commercial purposes (4.1); Contagious or parasitical diseases (5); Books and registers (6); Penal (7); Transitional and final (8).
