Abstract

A cess is imposed on the importation of coconut products in Jamaica. It shall be paid to the Coconut Industry Control Board. A Customs release shall be issued and presented subsequently for clearance of the products. If the coconut product is produced in Jamaica a consumer or distributor of the product shall pay cess to the manufacturer who shall then pay cess to the Board. The manufacturer shall keep records as may be prescribed by the Board.
