Abstract

This Act introduces measures to control the importation of edible oils and the exportation of coconut oil. The Act requires a licence for the importation into Guyana of products or substitute to be obtained from the Coconut Industry Board. The Minister may control the export of copra and edible oil in the interest of consumers of Guyana. The Act imposes other restrictions of financial nature on the international trade from and to Guyana of coconut products or substitutes.
