Abstract

These Regulations implement provisions of the Cocoa and Coffee Industry Act by, among other things: requiring every person who grows in Trinidad and Tobago cocoa or coffee or both cocoa and coffee for sale to register with the Cocoa and Coffee Industry Board; providing rules for the application for and granting of a buying agent’s licence; defining the keeping of records and other conditions attached to a buying agent’s licence; providing for grading of cocoa and coffee; defining maximum-allowed moisture content of cocoa; providing rules for the purchase of coffee and cocoa by a buying agent from the Board; by prescribing rules for exportation and various forms.
