Article 4 defines "coastal line", "coastal edge line", "coast", "coastal stripe", and "narrow coast". The main provisions concerning the protection of these areas can be found in Section 2 (arts. 6-12). They regulate licences and permissions for construction of structures, land reclamation, plans for coasts and coastal stripes and the determination of the coastal edge line.
