It also sets out the means of inspections and enforcement. The Act defines the relationship with other Acts. As for direct law enforcement measures, they may be used in relation to offences defined by the, among other things, under the Hunting Act 1987, the Fisheries Act of 1993, and the Act on the Fisheries Policy of the European Union of 1994. Enforcement shall also be done with respect to environmental offences. The Act shall apply to some land areas and inland waters (freshwater pollution).
