It consists of 6 Chapters divided into 373 sections. Chapter 2 contains provisions that apply to all coal mines, it regulates the safety and health management system (Part 2), accidents (Part 3), emergencies (Part 5) and the use of hazardous substances in mining activities (Part 7). Chapter 3 is dedicated to surface mines and Chapter 4 to underground mines. Chapters 5 and 6 contain miscellaneous and transitional provisions. The Regulation is completed by nine Schedules that further specify the contents of the Regulation.
