The Act provides for the appointment and powers of inspectors, for the establishment of the Coal Mining Qualifications Board responsible for verifying the qualifications for the grant of certificates and related matters, for the granting of certificates of competency. The Act regulates mine management and administration and provides for inspections and enforcement of the provision of the Act and of related regulations.
