It also contains rules relative to the marketing of produce through co-operative societies and provides for settlement of disputes. For this purpose it establishes the Co-operative Societies Appeals Tribunal. Before carrying out business, co-operative societies shall be registered with the Registrar of Co-operative Societies established under this Act. Co-operative societies may establish an apex body, which shall coordinate, assist and promote activities for the development, growth and expansion of all co-operative societies. Full text English
