The present Act enters into force on 3 July 2007.
Abstract

The purpose of the present Act is to protect existing and future sources of drinking water. Each source protection authority shall establish a drinking water source protection committee for the authority’s source protection area. These committees shall prepare terms of reference for the preparation under this Act of an assessment report and source protection plan for the source protection area. The text consists of 118 sections divided into 5 Parts as follows: General (I); Preparation, amendment and review of source protection plans (II); Effect of source protection plans (III); Regulation of drinking water threats (IV); Other matters (V).
