Abstract

The Circular outlines the rules for using hormones and likely compounds in animal feeds for fattening purposes.. Compounds whose use is banned are listed in the Circular, as well as products containing those very same substances as ingredients that could only be sold under prescription. Some products used in animal feed are not compatible with human consumption. All hormones and hormone-like substances are subject to a licence issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs
