Abstract

In order to strengthen the management of veterinary antimicrobial drugs and ensure the safety of animal derived food and public health in China, according to the Regulations on the Administration of Veterinary Drugs, the Ministry of Agriculture decided to establish a National Expert Committee on Veterinary Drug Residues and Drug Resistance Control on the basis of the National Expert Committee on Veterinary Drug Residues. Under the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Committee undertakes technical support for veterinary drug residues, control of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) of animal origin.
