Abstract

This Circular provides for the fishing activities in maritime and inland waters in order to increase production and subsequent exportation, preserve fish quality and stock enhancement: furthermore, the Circular rules for preventing water pollution and the improvement of fish production to achieve planned objectives. Fishing with a trawl on inland waters is forbidden as also in the Marmara Sea, the Bosporus, and Dardanelles, and in certain areas of the Black Sea, in the Aegean and Mediterranean. Fish quota and size, also for molluscs and crustaceans are detailed in the Circular. Fishing seasons are indicated and restrictions in fishing methods and gear are pointed out. A list of inland waters, where fishing is possible only under certain restrictions, is included in the text.
