Abstract

These By-laws of the Chikomba Rural District Council, approved by the Minister in terms of section 90 of the Rural District Councils Act, provides for the protection of public health from pollution, pests and diseases and nuisances in the Chikomba Rural District. The Regulations place various obligations on owners of premises to prevent pollution, spreading of pests and diseases, and occurrence of nuisances. No person shall collect or allow to collect, or store water on any premises or trade premises except in tanks, wells, barrels or other receptacles which are so constructed and maintained as to completely exclude mosquitoes. Rules are also applying to the keeping of (livestock) animals including, among other things, bees and poultry.
