Abstract

The present Proclamation – set out in the Schedule - is enacted under the Farm Products Agencies Act providing the legal foundation for the four national marketing agencies (Chicken Farmers of Canada, Egg Farmers of Canada, Turkey Farmers of Canada and the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers). In particualr, the present Proclamation establishes that the Canadian Hatching Egg Producers Agency is responsible for implementing and administering its marketing plans. These marketing plans describe the quota, licensing, and levy systems to be implemented as well as provisions for review and other general items specific to the regulated commodity in question. The text of the Schedule consists of 11 sections.
