It also provides for the control of seafood dealers. Each year, the Director of the Department of Marine and Wildlife Resources shall issue a Proclamation establishing the following for the taking of fish and shellfish: (1) seasons; (2) area and gear restrictions; (3) license and permit fees; and (4) harvest limits. The Chapter also places restrictions on the use of specified fishing methods and specifies rules that shall apply to specific fisheries, including coral marine mammals, species of crustacean and turtles.
