Abstract

The purpose of this Chapter is to control the spread of the giant African snail from the infested areas listed in Appendix A to this Chapter to non-infested areas in American Samoa and to facilitate the abatement and removal of the snail from these areas. The Chapter prohibits removal of specified material from an infested area without a prior notice to the Director of Agriculture. The Director may inspect the materials prior to movement and provide for removal and destruction of African snails found in the materials. The Director may take other measures to fight the spreading of African snails.
