Abstract An Ordinance to regulate in details the hygienic requirements for the transportation of animals. It deals with, inter alia, loading and unloading of animals, special requirements for vehicles used for transport, animal markets, hygienic requirements for slaughterhouses, castration of animals and health certificates. Then it sets out requirements for accompanying papers and finally, penalties in case of violation. The Ordinance consists of 25 articles divided into 12 Parts and 2 Annexes.
