Abstract An Ordinance to implement EC regulations on earmarking and registration of cattle. The AMA ("Agrarmarkt Austria") is responsible for the enforcement of this Ordinance. Article 3 establishes details of Austrian Earmarks. Thereafter the text deals with registers for animals to be kept by cattle breeders, information to provide to electronic data base, release of animal-pass, etc. The said AMA is due to provide all information listed in article 11, such as, for example, payments made, earmarks given out, etc. to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
