Abstract According to article 4, Section a, a special authorization by "Agrarmarkt Austria" (AMA) is required for the use of casein in the production of cheese. A special form contained in Annex 2 is to be used requiring indication of the quantity of cheese to be produced and the proportion of casein employed. All cheese producing plants must be accessible for inspection by the above-mentioned authority which reports regularly to the Ministry for Agriculture and Forestry on the amount of casein used in cheese production in Austria.
