The Law also provides that, based on this law, the Cabinet of Ministers of Latvia shall issue rail freight carriage regulations regarding carriage of stacked freight (number of pieces not stated); sealing of wagons and containers; carriage of small freight consignments; carriage of grain and other loose bulk freight; carriage of freight in containers; carriage of freight that may freeze; carriage of freight between Gulbene and Alūksne; carriage of such freight as is perishable; carriage of freight in open wagons; carriage of animals and freight subject to veterinary control; and procedures and terms for the storage of freight.
