Abstract

An Act concerning environmental inspection to secure a high level of environmental standards and to involve public participation in plans and programs. At the outset the Act defines certain terms such as “planning authority”,”public environmental offices”, etc.. The text consists of 3 Parts containing 16 articles of which the most important ones are: Sphere of application (1); Plans and programs (3); Land use planning (4); Agriculture, hunting and fishery (5); Water supply and waste water (6); Environmental report (7); Consultations proceedings (8); Transboundary consultations (9); Decision-making (10); Announcement of decisions (11); Inspection (12). One Annexe is enclosed.
