Abstract

The present Regulations enact the Canada Oil and Gas Operations Act. These Regulations apply: a) to every operator who explores or drills for oil or gas under the Act; and b) in respect of every well and test hole drilled under the Act. The text consists of 234 sections divided into 12 Parts as follows: General (I); Approval to drill, approval to re-enter or approval to drill a test hole (II); Authorized entry, inspection and investigations (III); Drilling of a well (IV); Safety and training of personnel (V); Operational records and reports (VI); Well evaluation (VII); Well termination (VIII); Deposition of samples from a well (IX); Final well reports (X); Repealed (XI); Offences (XII).
