Abstract

The present Regulations are made under the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Resources Accord Implementation Act. In particular, the Regulations provide for safety measures for diving operations. Section 2 establishes that these Regulations apply to any diving operation conducted in the Nova Scotia offshore area in connection with the exploration or drilling for, or the production, conservation, processing or transportation of, petroleum. The text consists of 69 sections divided into 8 Parts as follows: Proposed Diving Programmes (1); Operators (2); Diving Contractors (3); Diving Safety Specialists (4); Supervisors (5); Divers (6); Pilots (7); Additional Provisions (8). Seven Schedules are enclosed.
