Abstract This Resolution, consisting of 22 articles, aims at providing an adequate level of protection in the field of using living modified organisms resulting from modern biotechnology that may have adverse effects on the conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity. It is applied to genetically modified plants, animals and microorganisms. The Law takes into account risk to human health, with a special focusing on trans-boundary transport, implementing the Cartagena Protocol in terms of transport and deliberation, handling and use of living modified organisms.
