Abstract This Resolution consisting of 5 articles aims at issuing 41 standards for the food sector (listed in Annex 1 with the English translation) and 21 editorial amendments of mandatory standards (listed in Annex 2). In Annex 3 are listed 8 mandatory standards that have been deleted. The concerned bodies have 180 days to implement this Resolution. The standards concern, inter alia, expiration date for food products, labeling and prepackaged food stuffs, nutrition labeling, permitted additives in food stuffs, microbiological criteria, maximum residue limits for pesticides in agricultural and food products.
