Abstract The Resolution for areas of the Gaza Strip left by the Israeli army states that: (i) the current level of employment and agricultural production should be maintained and be declared as eligible agricultural areas and all necessary facilities and exemptions should be granted to make them productive; (ii) the Minister of Finance in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture is tasked with establishing a company that manages all agricultural facilities efficiently and transparently, in order to ensure the proper implementation and production of agricultural export commodities; (iii) the established company, in coordination with all relevant government agencies, shall ensure the rights of landowners either to compensate or contribute to the value their properties; (iv) the established company shall ensure the continued absorption and employment of workers in the evacuated areas, in line with the needs and requirements of the future, and work to increase employment opportunities through the development of agricultural land; and (v) the Minister of Finance is required to contract with an international authority to manage and operate all agricultural facilities and ensure the production, transport and marketing process until the completion of the procedures for establishing the company.
