Abstract This Regulation prescribe the procedures for cultivating vegetable seed and marketing vegetable seed for vegetable species mentioned in Annex 1, which seed is intended for the production of agricultural commodities. Seed shall be categorised as follows: 1. breeder seed (BS); 2). pre-basic seed (PB); 3. basic seed (B), 4. certified seed (C); 5. standard seed (ST). The document consists of XII Sections that contain 67 Articles and 12 Annexes. Section I lays down the general provisions. Section II regards seed categories. Section III establishes requirements prescribed for cultivation of seed. Section IV concerns inspection of seed-cultivation fields. Section V deals with evaluation of seed quality.
