Abstract

This Regulation determines the procedures for registration of farms and certification of river basin zones, infectious diseases of aquaculture animals and the control of such diseases on farms and in river basin zones, requirements which aquaculture animals and aquaculture products intended to be placed on the market shall conform with, and the division of the territory of Latvia into river basin zones (Annex 2) in order to maximally ensure the possibility of avoiding pollution because of migration of aquaculture animals. The document consists of V Chapters. Chapter I lays down the general provisions. Chapter II establishes procedures for registration of farms and certification of river basin zones. Chapter III establishes requirements regarding transportation and placing of aquaculture animals and aquaculture products on the market. Chapter IV regards export of aquaculture animals and aquaculture products. Chapter V lays down the transitional provisions.
