Abstract

The Regulation prescribes the procedures for the control and combating of salmonellosis and other infectious diseases transmitted through food (Annex 1) in poultry flocks which are intended for the production of foodstuffs (eggs and fresh meat) in small quantities and for direct supply to a final consumer. The foodstuffs obtained in small quantities from poultry flocks shall be sold in retail trade or directly to a final consumer. The quantity of foodstuffs to be considered to be small is laid down in Annex 2.
