Abstract

The Regulation prescribes the requirements for the marine equipment for which the approval of the flag State administration of the European Union is required in accordance with the international documents referred to in Sub-paragraph 2.14 of this Regulation, the procedures for the fulfilment of such requirements, the procedures for the inspections of marine equipment on Latvian ships; the procedures by which certificates of conformity are issued to the persons involved who perform periodic examinations, maintenance, repair and modernisation of marine safety equipment on Latvian ships; and procedures for action on the marine equipment offered in Latvia which may present a risk to maritime safety, health or the environment.
