The Regulation lays down rules for persons subject to registration and the procedures for the registration thereof; importation of plants, plant products and objects that have come into contact with such; distribution of plants, plant products and objects that have come into contact with such; recognition and maintenance of protected zones; procedures for transportation of plants and plant products in the protected zones; provision of information to the European Commission and the member states; and exportation and re-exportation of plants and plant products.
