Abstract

An Ordinance to implement Community Law on milk fat used in the production of foodstuffs, such as icecream, sweets and others. Article 3 contains a definiton clause relating to various terms therein employed, such as "producer", "authorized producer", "retail saler", etc. The AMA ("Agrarmarkt Austria") is bound to implement the provisions of this Ordinance. Article 4 establishes the requirements for a producer to be officially recognized by the EC. Thereafter, the text deals with issues such as production and processing of butter, control carried out by the said AMA; processing butter from other member countries; processing of Austrian butter in other member countries; duty to keep books; reporting of amounts of butter processed to AMA; granting of premiums and subsidies. Finally, article 32 establishes that AMA must provide all information listed in article 1 to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The Ordinance consists of 33 articles divided into 5 Parts.
