The present Act enters into force on 1 March 2005.
Abstract

The present Act by the regional government of Burgenland Act regulates the handling and bringing into circulation of genetically modified organisms, as well as the use of genetic analysis and genetic therapy for human beings. Purpose of this Act is the protection of human beings and the environment against harmful effects of genetically manipulated organisms in order to grant a high degree of safety.
