Abstract

Every resident who holds agricultural land within the jurisdiction of the Bukoba Town Council shall cultivate and maintain that land, grow a cash crop or crops or crop(s) for food as the situation allows, or as the authorized Officer may direct (by-law 3). The Town Council may give directions in writing as to the type of cultivation, the use of fertilizers or the removal of weed (by-law 4). By-law 5 requires farmers to keep land free from weeds and to notify the authorized Officer of plant pests and diseases occurring on his land. (8 by-laws)
