Abstract

The present Act lays down provisions relating to the fight against brucellosis in livestock and other domestic animals. The text - consisting of 24 articles – deals with the following matters: designated areas, protective measures to be implemented in designated areas, sanitation of livestock, disease-free livestock in designated areas, disease-free areas in general, disease-free livestock in non-designated areas, reporting, duty to notify, vaccination, fight against pests for other animals, limitation in traffic in livestock, grazing; cattle markets, cattle auctions, costs and penalties.
