Abstract The present Regulations continue under the Agri-Food Act. The purposes of the plan are: a) to control and regulate the production and marketing of broiler hatching eggs and chicks in Saskatchewan; b) to maintain a fair and stable price for broiler hatching eggs and chicks in Saskatchewan that relates to the cost of production; c) to initiate, support and conduct studies and research connected with the production, marketing or production and marketing of broiler hatching eggs and chicks; d) to initiate, support and conduct activities to promote the production, marketing or production and marketing of broiler hatching eggs and chicks in Saskatchewan; and e) to cooperate with the Governments of Saskatchewan and Canada and with any bodies empowered by an Act or an Act of the Parliament of Canada or of a province or territory of Canada to market broiler hatching eggs and chicks or to promote, facilitate, control, regulate or prohibit the production or marketing of broiler hatching eggs and chicks.
