Abstract

These Regulations implement provisions of the Brands Act. Regulation defines “Brands Districts”. The Regulations prescribe forms for the application for and transfer of brands, the certificate of registration and a certificate of transfer. Regulation 5 prescribes the form of brands. One brand and no more shall be allotted to any person in one Brands District (reg. 7). All brands shall be imprinted on stock as prescribed in regulation 11. The Registrar shall allot a brand to every public pound already or hereafter to be established, and shall register the same. On the sale of any stock which was impounded, the poundmaster shall brand the same with the brand allotted to such pound. Other provisions concern special brands, size of brands, allotment of brands, prescribed fees, surrender of brand, cancellation of brand and annual return of brands registered. (18 regulations)
