There shall be a Registrar of Brands and Marks who shall keep a Register of Brands and Marks in which he or she shall enter all owners’ brands and marks allotted by him or her. The Act also provides for compulsory branding of cattle and horses, inspection, transfer of marks and brands and for appeal against decisions of the Registrar.
