Abstract

The present Law lays down provisions relating to environmental impact assessment in the Land Brandenburg. The purpose of the Law is to ensure that assessment of environmental impact shall be carried out efficiently so that an early intervention shall be effective. The text consists of 6 articles as follows: Purpose of the Law (1); Definition of terms (2); Obligation of environmental impact assessment for projects, conditions and implementation (3); Obligation of strategic environmental impact assessment for plans and programmes, conditions, implementation and survey (4); Provisions on implementation (5); Transitional provisions (6).Two Annexes are enclosed.Two Annexes are enclosed.
