Abstract

These Regulations provides for the registration of brands under the Animal Identification Act. It prescribes the forms to be used and the fees to be paid for the registration of brands (sects. 3 and 7). Sections 9 and 10 defined brand specifications for cattle and horses while section 11 indicates which characters are acceptable components of a registered brand. An electronic record of all registered brands and notches shall be kept and a list of all brands shall be available in a publication known as the Saskatchewan Registered Livestock Brands Book. The Regulations are completed by the models of the forms necessary under the Regulations and the Animal Identification Act.
