It extends the definition of disease under section 88(1) of the Animal Health Act 198 to BVD and provides the conditions for, and requirements of, sampling and testing of bovine animals for BVD and other BVD control (of each animal in a breeding herd and each qualifying calf and collective BVD status of breeding herds). The Regulations also provide for restrictions on the movement of animals.
