Import requires a licence issued by or on behalf of the States Committee for Agriculture and Fisheries. Restrictions are also placed on the use and exportation of bovine semen and offences are prescibed. A licence to artificially inseminate shall not be issued by the Committee unless, in the opinion of the Committee, the future milk supply of the Island may be seriously prejudiced if the artificial insemination of bovine animals is not permitted.
