Abstract This Resolution authorizes the use of food additives and technology adjuvants in specific food categories. It includes in Table I of Resolution CNS/MS No. 4 of 24 November 1988, the concentrated food additive mixture of tocopherol, INS 307b, as antioxidant; as well as flavouring food additives authorized by Resolution RDC No. 2 of 15 January 2007 for being used in refined oils, with the exception of olive oil and flavourings. It includes in annex VII of the same Resolution the adjuvant of liquid nitrogen technology, INS 941 as cooling/freezing agent for being used in edible ice creams. It includes in subcategory XI. Peeled and/or chopped vegetables, frozen or not in the Annex to Resolution RDC No. 8 of 6 March 2013, curcumin, INS 100i and paprika extract additives INS 160c as colourings for being used only in peeled and/or chopped frozen potatoes. It includes in the same subcategory XI of the Annex of the Resolution RDC No. 8 of 2013, the food additive xanthan gum, INS 415, as stabilizer only for use in peeled and/or chopped frozen potatoes. The food additives dibasic sodium phosphate, INS 339ii, and dibasic potassium phosphate, INS 340ii, as acidity regulator, are included in the Annex to the Resolution RDC No. 27 of 13 February 2004. It includes in the Annex to Ordinance No. 39 of 13 January 1998, the flavouring food additives authorized by Resolution RDC No. 2 of 15 January 2007 for being used in tabletop sweeteners. It includes in the Annex of Resolution RDC No. 248 of 13 September 2005, the auxiliary of carbon dioxide technology, INS 290, as propellant gas for being used in oils and fats.
