Abstract

These Regulations prescribe, for purposes of section 2 of the Birds Protection Act 1913, species of "protected bird". Each species and sub-species of bird is a prescribed species, other than: (a) a species or sub-species specified in the Schedule; (b) a species or sub-species of birds in danger of extinction specified in Schedule 2 to the Migratory Birds Act 1980; or (c) a species or sub-species of migratory birds specified in Schedule 3 to the Migratory Birds Act 1980.
