Abstract

These Rules make provision for: (1) the control the introduction and spread of exotic pests and diseases and other organisms, in order to protect the environment and the agricultural production of Tokelau; (2) the control the pests and diseases already present in Tokelau that have a restricted distribution; (3) facilities for biosecurity services for the import and export of animals and plants, animal products and plant products, and other goods safely into and out of Tokelau; (4) for the containment and eradication of new incursions; and (5) the support international cooperation in the prevention of the movement of pests and diseases.
