Abstract

The present Act lays down provisions relating to beverage containers. Section 4 establishes that no person shall sell a beverage in a beverage container unless the beverage container is of a type that is approved by the present Act. The text – consisting of 35 sections – deals, amongst others, with the following aspects: interpretation and application, registration of distributors, deposits, licences to operate beverage container depots, return of empty beverage containers, refunds for and collection of empty containers and sale orders, offences and penalties and transitional provisions.
