Abstract

The present Ordinance applies to navigable regional waterways in the Land Berlin as listed in the Annex, as well as to harbours and places of transhipment, if Harbour Ordinances do not contain different provisions. The competent authority is the Navigation Police Office responsible for the execution of the present Ordinance. When executing their duties concerning the security of traffic, water pollution, etc., inspectors of the said Office shall be empowered to board ships, to inspect them and to travel with them as long as necessary. The captain and other members of the crew shall have to cooperate with the inspectors. The text consists of 23 articles and 2 Annexes.
