Abstract

The Act prohibits the sale of articles of food which are not in the proper standard or quantity or not in the prescribed standards of purity as laid down in the Act. Furthermore, the Act contains provisions on the procedure for analysis, inspection and seizure of food for checking quality, quantity, purity standards, etc. Additionally, the Act provides for penalties for violating the provisions of the Act.
