The Council shall, among other things: developing, establishing and monitoring plans and policies, procedures and guidelines and legislative measures necessary for the efficient management and development of tourism in Belize and shall prepare and implement the Belize National Tourism Policy Plan. The Ministry responsible for Tourism shall be the Secretariat of the Council, and in that capacity shall be responsible for the overall management and formulation of the Council’s policies and decisions.
